Dough recipe
This makes 24 cookies, about 2 full oven trays worth once they expand.
Ingredients
- 250 g butter, softened
- 1 cup caster sugar
- 1.5 cups brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla essence
- 3.5 cups self-raising flour
Directions
- Preheat oven to 180 C.
- Cream together butter, caster sugar and brown sugar until smooth.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla essence.
- Stir in salt and flour.
- Bake for about 10-12 minutes until the edges are nicely browned.
